- Taking of a bath on Jumu‘a is a tradition of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) which he emphasized greatly.
- Brushing teeth and performing wudu at home or in the facilities of the mosque before Prayer is obligatory. Using Perfume is very meritorious.
- Arriving at the mosque early is much more blessed than coming later. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) says: He who arrives at the mosque for Jumu‘a during the first period earns the reward of sacrificing a camel; arriving at the second time earns the reward of slaughtering a cow; at the third time, a goat; at the fourth time, a hen; and at the fifth time, an egg.
- Sit in the first row first, then second etc. Sit shoulder to shoulder, with no gap between two people.
- If there is gap in the first row, do not climb over others to get there. The gap should be filled by those who are sitting near it.
- Rows should be straight.
- On Friday, observe complete silence, listen to the sermon, and act upon it.
- Talking during the sermon is prohibited. Even asking someone else to be quiet is not allowed, except with a silent gesture.
- After the sunnah, spend time in the remembrance of Allah.
- To talk while others are engaged in sunnah or nawafil is not permissible.
- Do not sit in a place temporarily vacated by someone who has left for an urgent need with the intent of returning.
- The scholars and the learned should sit closest to the Imam.
