** Ahmadiyya Book Stall at Quincy August Moon Festival
Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya (MKA) Boston participated in a tabligh opportunity at the 22nd Annual Quincy August Moon Festival. The event was held in Quincy, Massachusetts, on Sunday, 23-Aug-2009, from 11am to 5pm. Tens of thousands of Bostonians attended the event. Ahmadiyya Muslim Community's (AMC) Boston was one of the Silver Sponsors of the event which allowed it to publish a one page long advertisement in the event's program.
Five khuddam and One Tifl from MKA-Boston endured the scorching heat of a sunny Summer day, which fell on the second day of Ramadhan, to partake of the blessings of this memorable event. This opportunity provided the Boston khuddam a great opportunity to develop their tabligh skills and more importantly to deliver a very important message to the Americans – that the Promised Messiah (as) and Reformer awaited by all the major revealed religions had arrived in the World. This interaction allowed MKA to collect information about future tabligh contacts as well as poll potential topics for the upcoming Tabligh events currently being planned.
Boston Jamats Tabligh Secretary (Brother Rafique) provided MKA Boston with the copies of Holy Quran and its translation in various languages (Arabic, Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, etc.) along with books written by the Promised Messiah (as) and his successors (Khulafaa) were displayed at the booth. Other Ansar and Lajna members of the AMC-Boston chapter also benefited, by assisting in the planning of this event. The President of the Jamaat attended the event as well and offered useful advice to improve such events in the future.
