American Muslims Vow to Replace Every Holy Quran Burned

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA intends to donate at least one copy of the Holy Quran for every one that is burned in the Dove World Outreach Center’s “International Burn a Koran Day” on Sept. 11.

Despite calls from religious leaders, politicians and civic groups around the world to cancel an event that will only fan the flames of extremism, Pastor Terry Jones of Gainesville, Florida, has vowed to burn copies of the Holy Quran on Saturday.

Ahmadiyya Muslim Community mosque included in series of deadly attacks

A terrorist attack on a mosque belonging to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community yesterday killed at least one member and wounded several others in the northwest Pakistani town of Mardan.  The man killed in the attack, Sheikh Amir Razzah, was a 40 year old business owner and active leader within the community.  This attack follows several recent attacks on the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Pakistan.  In May, 86 Ahmadi Muslims were killed after militants armed with guns and grenades stormed two of their Mosques in Lahore. In August, during the holy month of Ramadhan, two individual members – including an American citizen – were brutally killed in separate incidents in Pakistan.

Muslims Condemn Burning of Quran on 9/11

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA strongly condemns a Florida church’s effort to desecrate the Holy Quran on “International Burn a Quran Day” on Sept. 11. In response, it is launching a nationwide campaign to educate fellow Americans about the Holy Quran.

American Citizen Murdered in Pakistan due to Government Sanctioned Religious Extremism



Peer Habibur Rehman, resident of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was brutally murdered today while in his native country of Pakistan at around 9:30 AM, Pakistani time.

Mr. Rehman was in Sindh, Pakistan, when he stopped at a traffic light while driving his nephew and workers to his farm. At that time, two masked gunmen approached his vehicle and opened fire. He was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. His nephew and workers survived the incident.
