IAAAE was founded in 1980 by Hadrat Khalifatul Masih III, Mirza Nasir Ahmad (rh), the third caliph, to gather applied-scientists and researchers with the purpose of interpreting and correlating the scientific research in the light of the Holy Qur’an and to substantiate the Qur’anic truth with the modern discoveries.
Such an association was considered essential in providing assistance to the Ahmadiyya Movement in Islam in meeting its architectural and engineering needs. In other words, it could provide the necessary knowledge, skills and expertise to undertake projects requiring advanced levels of scientific know-how.
Such an association could infuse in Ahmadi Muslim professionals the spirit of extreme devotion, honesty, and hard work. It could teach them to seek light and guidance of Allah in all professional and personal matters.
In the beginning, Syedna Hadrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad (rh) was Association’s patron, before his Khilafat. Today, the Association operates under the patronage of Sahibzada Mirza Ghulam Ahmad.
IAAAE members can be found throughout the world contributing to their profession in their local branches and chapters. Some of the ways IAAAE members contribute to the advancement of knowledge is by writing research papers and exchanging knowledge with similar other organizations such as IEEE, ASME and ASCE.
Association members provide guidance to our future generation of engineering and architecture students in their career planning and other professional activities. The Association assists its members in the acquisition of latest techniques and knowledge and to inculcate confidence, courage and spirit to attain distinction in professional and personal conduct of life.
I request all Ahmadi Muslim engineers, architects and technologists to please join IAAAE. There are countless opportunities for contribution for all specializations. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community needs to benefit from your wealth of advanced knowledge, abilities and experience. In return for your time and involvement you will receive Allah’s blessings and mercy. At the same time, you will also have professional networking opportunities, peer connections, local social activities and leadership opportunities.
IAAAE membership is international in its scope and membership requirements are very liberal. The minimum requirements are that you must be a technologist, a graduate engineer or an architect from a recognized educational institution regardless of which country you were educated in. There is also no requirement for you to be working in your field of education.
