"The physical act of slaughtering an animal (Qurbani) is not optional, but wajib (necessary) for those with the means to do it."This year, we ask you to continue to protect our Islamic symbols and fulfill this obligation. Remember, Eid-ul-Adha will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 22nd, 2018. We encourage you to consider one of these two options:Option 1: Ask your local Muslims, Amish, Jewish contacts or simply ask Google about the nearest slaughterhouse or farm. Then call. Typically the farm or slaughterhouse will ask you to come in and select an animal - on site. They’ll prepare the meat on the same day. Lamb, sheep, and goats are priced between $200 to $350, depending on the animal’s size, age, etc. This price includes the cost of preparing the meat. Most places accept cash only. The whole process can take anywhere from one to five hours, depending on their resources and expertise. One of the Options in the area is below but NOT endorsed by Jamaat.

Option 2: Pay the following amounts to your Jama`at Finance Secretary so Qurbani in your family's name could be offered in Africa, Pakistan or India:

- The sacrifice of Cow/Calf: $475.00 per seven families (You can pay $68* for your single family)
