Mufti Muhammad Books Through Bars Program
Upon arriving to the shores of the United States of America in 1920, Ahmadiyyat's first missionary, Hadhrat Mufti Muhammad Sadiq sahib (ra), was detained by authorities that were concerned that he had come only to preach polygamy.  While awaiting appeal and eventual release, Mufti sahib converted more than 20 fellow detainees to Islam.  In honor of that spirit, and in harmony with Islam's teachings of repentance, the Isha'at Department is expanding the Zion Jail Ministry book collection program across the country.

The Program
In Ramadan (August) 2011, select chapters will hold book collection drives and donate books to local jails and prisons.  Books must meet requirements of institutions to which they will be donated (most often, only soft covers are accepte, for example).  If your chapter is interested in participating in this year's book collection drive, please contact This email address is being protected from spambots.
