Malaysia’s High Court recently overturned a government ban on Roman Catholics' using ‘Allah’ as a translation for God.  Many Malaysian Muslims are outraged by this decision, claiming that Allah is a religious word that only Muslims should be able to use.  Since the court ruling, hateful comments and threats against Christians have been posted widely on the Internet and on Friday, January 8, 2010, three Malaysian churches were attacked with firebombs.  The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community strongly condemns this violence towards Malaysia’s Christian population and the very idea that Allah or any religious term should be reserved only for Muslims is absurd.

On Dec. 10th 2009 on CNN, Franklin Graham – son of famous evangelist Billy Graham – defended his controversial post-9/11 comments in which he called Islam an evil and wicked religion.  The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA condemns Graham’s incorrect statements, which expressed his hatred and willful ignorance of the Islamic faith.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community (AMC) USA strongly condemns the constitutional referendum recently passed in Switzerland that bans the construction of minarets, a traditional architectural feature of Muslim Mosques around the world. Minarets – very similar to spires found in Christian churches around the world – have never been used for political force or coercion.
